Creative DNA is at the root of genius inspiration.

  • Sometimes you just need someone to guide you through the creative terrain, across oceans of self-doubt and over mountains of perilous vulnerability.

  • As a Creative Coach, I will help you gain the confidence you need to explore what you want to say, how you want to say it, and come up with deadlines that are tailored for you so that you can realize your artistic dreams.

  • In our work together, I’ll take you through the process of “ideation,” a series of creative exercises designed to actively engage you in developing the project that you want to make. I will help you locate and identify your creative DNA, pinpoint your original voice, your personal image system, your aesthetic.

  • With years of experience as a professor and decades of generating my own work, I’ve developed the expertise in helping others become active, fluid artists, unblocked by self-criticism and self-censorship. I can help you navigate and commit to what it is you want to create, come up with a game plan filled with bite-size deadlines, and through encouragement and accountability, make sure you get it done.

"Natasha Maidoff is GREAT! She is a perfect blend of insightful, incisive, inquisitive, intuitive, and inspirational. In working with me, Natasha listened deeply, helped me break down my projects into actionable tasks, and skillfully marshaled my creative impulses towards completion. As a tremendously gifted artist herself, she gets it. WORK WITH NATASHA!"

Billy Jonas, Musician

  • I help clients from different walks of life with varied levels of experience including the elderly and disabled. I’ve helped clients complete short films, music tracks, personal and academic essays, Kickstarter/IndieGogo campaigns, fiction (novels & short stories), screenplays (shorts, TV pilots and features), documentaries, and I am open to all creative endeavors.

  • In our initial conversation, I’ll get to know who you are, what work you’d like to do and what your time frame is.  I’ll also let you know more about how I can help you.  Based on our discussion we can make a plan moving forward.

“Natasha Maidoff has given me invaluable guidance during my emergence from the thicket of my creative jungle, where I was marooned for too long before meeting her. Whether the artistic enterprise is text, photography, film, music, conceptual, or only felt but still vague, she can bring to it key insights drawn from her own experience making art and teaching art. She helped me frame my goals, explore my desires, set appropriate deadlines, and be honest with myself. This has been a positive creative year for me in large part due to Natasha's thoughtful attention and gentle but confident conversational guidance. I recommend her to anyone confused about what steps they need to take in order to progress towards new clearing on their creative journey.”

Natasha is an intuitive pedagogue, who is sensitive to the needs, intellectual or otherwise, of her students. I appreciate how she conveyed the enormous knowledge and experience that she had acquired during her own studies as well as during her filmmaking career. What I find most rewarding in Natasha’s teaching is her uniquely visionary and sensitive way of triggering our visceral creative forces and imagination by utilizing movement and music. Her insightful comments were enormously helpful in the script developing process of my first feature-length screenplay.
